Rhea Trevino, and I, his wife Betty, started our leather business in Sturgis, SD in 1975. From 1977, we had our business in Deadwood, SD until our present location. In 1978 we were fortunate to find our home on US Hwy 385, where, with the help of family and many friends, we built our own shop in 1990.

We are located 6 miles South of Deadwood on Hwy 385, A scenic route through the beautiful Black Hills that leads to destinations such as Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and many Southern Hills attractions. It is also an alternate route to Rapid City, SD. We started our business making all our own products, such as tooled belts, wallets, and art work. Over the years we have expanded to accommodate customers of all kinds. From western wear fans to the motorcycle enthusiasts, and many others, we carry a wide range of leathers made by us and other crafts people and businesses, who provide quality goods. We take special pride in the large variety of USA made products.

Open year round, our log cabin shop is unique in its array of items, which include belts, buffalo wallets, purses, chaps, coats, vests, motorcycle accessories, jewelry, knives, furs, sheep skins and many 'out of the ordinary' gifts. It is a fun place to stop, browse, and smell the leather. You can even sit back and listen to the creek flow on the property, take a spin on an old merry-go-round, or ride an old horse. The surprise of what you see when you stop in the shop is something that has brought people back year after year. In 35 years we have met many people and developed long term friendships. We always look forward to meeting newcomers as well. We welcome you to stop at the shop, enjoy it and the beauty of the Black Hills surrounding it.

During the summer months we provide a place to stop for poker runs. For example, in May, we were a stop for the "2009 Poker Run in the Sun," on behalf of the Black Hills Children's Home of Rapid City, SD. For many years, we have been a stop for the local A.B.A.T.E. Poker Run in August during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We also have other groups schedule us on poker runs and welcome any group to contact us if they are interested.

Furthermore, we donate to other non-profit organizations in our local area throughout the year. We give thanks to our children who help us run this mom & pop business, and all our friends and customers that support us and shop with us.
